Version 8.5.1 includes security-related improvements and updates.
We recommend all customers to update to this or a later version as soon as possible.

Feature

• You can now select a data type for select fields that have the autocomplete and free text input features enabled. When enabled, all inputs include free text inputs are then validated against the datatype. Note that the datatype "number" is not supported here.

Changes

• If problems occur during the PDF conversion of uploads (e.g. because the documents are encrypted or password-protected), they are now treated as "inconvertible" regardless of the file type and can be processed further if the "Allow inconvertible" checkbox is activated for the related upload field.
• Show all pages of a form record when selecting it in the inbox, instead of only the form page.
• Improve clean-up of script content when converting PDF files to PDF files.
• The submit event ($.xutil.on("submit", ...)) now also provides submitButton, xfAction and xfQualifier, identifying the button that was pressed to submit the form.
• The validation messages for executing prompts with uploaded files have been improved.

Fixes

• Correctly read the value of input fields with datatype "number" as a JavaScript number when referenced in a formula, e.g. "hidden-if".
• Fix invalid resource URLs that were created for some plugin widgets.
• Show upload elements from the currently opened form version as options in the form designer. Previously, only the upload elements from the active version were shown.
• Show only plugin authenticators as options in the GUI for the different authentication targets if they actually support the authentication target.
• SAML2 login services now use certificates managed by the system instead of the default Java keystore.
• Do not skip workflow post-processors when the form record was deleted during the workflow. This previously resulted, e.g., in the default HTML template not being set properly (when none was set by the workflow).
• Fix an issue during tenant deletion where keystores blocked the deletion of the tenant.
• Fix errors that could occur when loading the plugin menu for forms with large workflows.
• When a form element is moved to another location, it is no longer treated as removed.
• Do not register very small mouse movements as a drag event in the form designer.
• Word export: Surround the argument in the cb function with quotes to support special characters.
